AWANA (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed) meets on Sunday evenings from 6:00-7:30 p.m., August-May. Children aged three through junior high learn and recite Scripture, hear Gospel-centered lessons, and enjoy games, theme nights, and special events like the AWANA Grand Prix.
Our prayer is that every child will come to know, love, and serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
At AWANA, children:
- Learn age-appropriate Biblical truth
- Memorize Scripture
- Enjoy games and physical activity
- Build friendships
- Receive encouragement from caring leaders
- Grow in teamwork and character
- Earn awards for their accomplishments
Registration
Registration is available at the Welcome Center or online beginning in August each year. There is a modest fee per child which covers the cost of their handbooks.
Different Clubs
Children participate in clubs based on age/grade:
- Cubbies (ages 3–4; must be 3 by August and potty trained)
Story time, simple Bible truths, verse memorization, and fun noncompetitive games - Sparks (K–2nd grade)
Bible lessons, singing, small-group discipleship, and game time - T&T – Truth & Training (3rd–6th grades)
Bible teaching, Scripture memory, small groups, and exciting games - Trek (7th–8th grades)
Middle school students learn God’s Word, participate in small groups, and enjoy interactive game time.
